About Us
Cardiff Dragon Dolls came about after Morgan le Fury, Donna Skatrix, Lilith and Ruby Thursday decided it looked a great deal of fun but found there were no teams or leagues in Wales. Starting a Facebook group in the summer of 2009 the ladies found that they were far from alone in their desire for roller derby in Wales and the Cardiff Dragon Dolls were soon born.
The Dolls are a women's flat track derby team but general training and scrimmages are very much co-ed (our coaches, refs and comperes need to get a chance to wheel about as well).
We're just starting out as a derby league - so complete beginners and rusty skaters are more than welcome.
Meetings and events
We currently train most Saturdays at 10:30 - 11:30 AM in th STAR centre in Splott, Cardiff (map here) as well as arranging outdoor skate sessions (weather permitting) and trips to bouts on a regular basis.
